Arrive at The Miggi, check in to your book-themed room, and enjoy a welcome Treat before heading out to enjoy some local Halloween highlights:
Spookilluminations at the Model Village
Babbacombe model village puts on a Halloween twist and illuminated displays after dark. They suggest arriving around 3.30-4.30pm and allowing around 2.5 to 3 hours for your visit. Enjoy a daylight visit first, and play a round of Crazy Golf, then go around again after dark.
The Model Village cafe (open until 5.30) serves some vegan options including pizza, or you could pick up some Banana Blossom “Fish” N Chips from the London Fryer near The Miggi before going out to the Halloween Party.
Vinyl Avengers Spooky Halloween party
Join the Vinyl Avengers (vegan DJs) in the fabulous ballroom of the Redcliffe Hotel on the seafront (about 2 mins walk from The Miggi) for Motown, Ska, 2tone, 60’s/70’s Soul, Mod, Northern Soul from 8pm to midnight. Fancy dress encouraged.

Enjoy a hearty Miggi breakfast to set you up for the day exploring the Bay.
Ghost stories at Berry Pomeroy Castle
Several ghostly sightings have been reported at the castle near Totnes. These and other stories are told through the audio guide (free with entry fee).

Start your day with a delicious Miggi breakfast before heading out for more seasonal stuff.
Autumn tree walk
Enjoy one of the walking trails at Cockington Country Park. There are 5 walking routes that vary in distance. Stroll around the lakes, meander through Manscombe Woods or hike around the entire estate! The whole estate and surrounding area is dog friendly. There’s also a Winter Market at Cockington Hall.
The Abbey After Dark
Torre Abbey invites you to step into the haunting world of The Abbey After Dark, where ghosts, ghouls, and creatures of the night lie in wait. Prepare for spine-tingling encounters with ghostly figures, interactive scares, illuminations, and hair-raising special effects.
Tacos & Tequila at Tam’s
Local vegan cafe Tam’s Kitchen is offering a “Day of the Dead Taco Party” – book a table to enjoy a selection of tacos, sides, and a fully decorated cafe.

Time-travel to Victorian Halloween
Bygones in Babbacombe promises to take you to Halloween 1897 through their immersive exhibitions over several floors.
Get your claws into Phoenix’s Epic Halloween Afternoon Tea
The highlight of your visit to The Miggi, an epic afternoon tea full of delicious, hand-made, vegan Halloween treats.
